The GHS National Explorer and the municipal portals are free to use. Everything below is for organisations that need more than the public archive, a dataset in a form you can work with, a portal of your own, or an independent check on data you already hold.
Annual data licence
The full structured dataset behind the public explorer, delivered as long-format files with a documented schema, and refreshed as new editions are published. Every row keeps its edition, table number and page, so a figure can be traced back to the government document it came from without asking us.
Suited to: research units, ratings and credit teams, development finance institutions, and anyone who needs the data inside their own models rather than on a web page.
Custom dashboards
A portal built on your own data, on published sources, or on both — to the same standard as our municipal work. Built as a self-contained page you host yourself, with charts, filtered tables and CSV export throughout, and a data quality section that states plainly what is confirmed and what is not.
Suited to: municipalities, provincial departments, consultancies reporting to a client, and organisations that publish figures and need them to hold up when someone checks.
Bespoke extraction
A structured dataset built from documents you specify — annual reports, statistical releases, budget documents, or a series nobody has yet put in one place. You tell us the documents and the fields; you receive a clean long-format dataset with every figure traceable to its page, and a written account of anything the sources got wrong or disagreed about.
Suited to: anyone facing a stack of PDFs and a deadline.
Data audits
An independent review of a dataset you already hold or intend to publish: whether each figure can be traced to a source, whether the series is internally consistent, whether restatements have been carried through, and where the gaps are. You receive a written report listing every issue found, with the evidence for each.
Suited to: organisations publishing figures they will be held to, and funders who want a dataset checked before they rely on it.
How we work
- We publish what the source published. Figures are reproduced as printed. Where a source suppressed a value, we carry the marker through rather than treating it as zero.
- Nothing is invented to fill a gap. No interpolation, no values carried forward. A missing year stays a missing year, and we name it.
- Conflicts are logged, not quietly resolved. Where two sources disagree about the same figure, you get both and our reasoning, not a silent choice.
- Known defects ship with the data. Every deliverable states what is confirmed, what is partial, and what is still outstanding.
Request a quote
Every piece of work is scoped and quoted individually, because the effort depends entirely on the documents involved. Tell us what you need and you will get a written quote with a fixed price and a delivery date.
Email info@dataflixsa.com and include whichever of these you can:
- which of the four services you have in mind
- the documents or data involved, and roughly how many
- what you need to be able to do with the result
- your deadline, if you have one
You will get a reply within two working days. If what you need is already free on this site, we will tell you that instead.
Reference discounts are available for our first named clients — organisations willing to be cited as a reference once the work is delivered.
