Why DataFlix SA exists
South Africa publishes a large volume of public data every year. Statistics South Africa releases the General Household Survey. Municipalities publish annual reports going back many years. The numbers exist. Turning those numbers into something that can actually be compared and used over time is far harder than it should be.
DataFlix SA exists to close that gap. We take what has already been published and make it structured, comparable, and usable, so that researchers, journalists, officials and citizens do not have to reconstruct the same tables from scratch every time
What We Do
We organise data across key sectors into formats that support analysis, research, and decision-making. e prioritise accuracy and transparency. Every figure is linked back to its original published source. We do not invent, interpolate or quietly fill gaps. When sources disagree or editions are missing, we make that visible rather than resolving it behind the scenes. Defects and limitations are published alongside the data
